New Years and A New Dilemma

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!! I hope it was spectacular and you all made healthy life-enhancing resolutions!  If you saw fit to do so, I would like to hear about them, and to encourage you to share them with me I will spill some of mine:

1. Keep flowers in the house (real ones! no plastic allowed!)
2. Take a self defense course
3. Write letters to my favorite authors telling them how amazing their books are and how they       impacted my life.
4. Run a marathon (hopefully one that doesn't get cancelled due to a hurricane!)
5. Become more tech savvy
6. Plan route for my (eventual) future tour around the globe.
7. Fall back in love with yoga

Because I am me and I usually get carried away, there are many more, but those are the big ones worthy of a blog post.  So lets hear 'em!! Fill me in!! New Years Eve was a great time and I got to spend it with some of my favorite people.  We laughed and ate cheese and crackers until the countdown, and we even drank a little champagne.  Also since being in McCall, I have enjoyed countless snowshoe and XC ski adventures (Charlie too) with friends and family and even a few ice skating debacles.  It has been great weather and I must say driving a 4-wheel-drive vehicle is kinda growing on me...can you feel the "but" coming?? Yes, here it is...BUT sadly I have some bad news.
As you all know I am currently supposed to be in China, posing as a high school English teacher, but due to unforeseen complications far to long and tedious (and depressing) to type, I am not.  It is not to say I never will be, but at least not for now.  'Tis a sad day indeed. However, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and things work out with due diligence.  I do apologize if I have not returned your text or phone call lately, it has just taken me a few days to come to terms with the fact that I will be here in McCall for awhile.
It's not all bad though. I am keeping busy journal making, pet-sitting, cargo net sewing, and visiting with my Grams, friends, and family enough to be enjoying myself, and am planning a little get-away next month (stay tuned for surprise). I know this was a short little entry but I just wanted to keep you all updated! And what would a blog be without a darling picture of Mr. Charlie?! All warm and cozy in his sweater because it's -4 degrees outside. Burrr!!! Take care and I miss you all! xoxo

  2. Sad to hear about China! You have a really good attitude about it though and I'm sure many adventures will still find you. (:
